This project includes the construction of a rear infill extension and a loft conversion with a new dormer, along with internal structural alterations. Key elements involve the removal of first-floor chimney breasts with suitable structural support for the remaining stack, and detailed weathering of the dormer junction against a newly raised party parapet wall.
The extension features a bespoke guttering and roof detail, with eccentrically loaded foundations to suit site conditions. Plans have also been updated to ensure the new flank wall is correctly set back from the boundary, complying with party wall requirements.
The design carefully balances technical requirements with functional improvements to the living space. Updated drainage and roofing elements have been integrated to ensure long-term durability.
